Thailand Evidence-Informed Policy Making Forum 2025

16 July 2025, The research project Supporting the Routine Use of Evidence during the Policy-Making Process: A Pilot Study of the World Health Organization Checklist hosted “The Thailand Evidence-Informed Policy Making Forum 2025” at 9th Floor Conference Room, Mahachakri Sirindhorn Building, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University

The event was formally opened by Professor Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University. Associate Professor Dr.Pannee Cheewinsiriwat, Assistant to the President, also joined the event. Key presentations were delivered by project researchers: Associate Professor Dr. Mukdarat Bangpan, University College London, Professor Dr. Natthar Chaiyakunapruk, University of Utah, Dr. Chanthawat Patikorn, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Panya Akaraputtipong, Faculty of Education, and Lecturer Phusima Pinyosinwat, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. And overview of the served as the central framework for the research project ‘WHO Evidence-Informed Policy Checklist’ by Ms. Tanja Kuchenmueller, Unit Head of Evidence to Policy and Impact, the World Health Organization (WHO)

‘Thailand Evidence-Informed Policy Making Forum 2025’ focuses on assessing Thailand’s ecosystem for evidence-informed policy making in the health and education sectors, using the WHO’s six-domain institutionalization framework: governance, standards and processes, leadership, resources, organizational culture, and cross-sectoral collaboration. The goal is to support long-term integration of evidence into public decision-making systems.
