On 5-6November 2024, the Office of Research Affairs Chulalongkorn University in collaboration with Horizon Europe held a seminar – “Essential Guidelines for Participating in Collaborative Research Proposals in Horizon Europe” at Meeting Rooms 1\u20132, 3rd<\/sup> Floor, Central Library, Office of Academic Resources, Chulalongkorn University.<\/p>

Professor Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, <\/strong>stated that this event provides an invaluable opportunity for professors and researchers at Chulalongkorn to expand their research boundaries and foster international collaborations to address global issues, including climate change, sustainable development, and public health. \u201cThis seminar plays a crucial role in enhancing participants’ understanding of Horizon Europe’s research funding processes and improving the quality of research proposals, enabling access to international funding sources and broader global recognition,\u201d the Vice President said.<\/p>

\u00a0\u201cPreparing researchers effectively can contribute to the development of project proposals that align with international research standards, as well as promoting networking and collaboration with researchers worldwide. I hope this event will foster knowledge sharing, inspire idea exchange, and support the advancement of research. Mr.Gabriel Dayre, Attach\u00e9-Programme Officer (Cooperation), Delegation of the European Union to Thailand,<\/strong> highlighted the objective of this workshop is to guide researchers through the process of crafting winning proposals for Horizon Europe by aligning project proposals with the strategic goals of both the European Union and Thailand and pursuing international collaboration. \u201cThai researchers have a wealth of expertise to offer, especially in fields such as health, bioeconomy, and environmental sciences. I am thrilled to see many enthusiastic participants ready to engage and learn\u201d, said Mr. Gabriel Dayre.<\/p>

The “Essential Guidelines for Participating in Collaborative Research Proposals in Horizon Europe” program took place from November 5\u20136, 2024, and aims to provide essential knowledge and tools to aid professors and researchers in preparing and applying effectively for research and innovation funding from Horizon Europe, the European Union’s flagship funding program.<\/p>
